Later went on to study w jazz legend saxophonist Jackie Mclean at the University of Hartford( Hart school of music). In 1987 Ron moved to NYC where he played w various up and coming musicians before getting a break to play w jazz drummer Rashied Ali. Ron did some recording,and playing around NYC til landing a job w legendary drummer Arthur Taylor.

Robert “BJ” Simmons III, aka BJONSAX, is a native Washingtonian who began studying music at the age of nine. His studies on the Saxophone and Clarinet provided him the opportunity to become a member of the DC Youth Orchestra Program. He is a graduate of Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA. Robert has a passion for advancing and developing young minds. In fact, upon graduation Robert began teaching music in the District of Columbia Public School System.

is a multifaceted musician born and raised in Washington DC. Sam has developed a reputation in the local music scene performing and producing with all types of acts. On the funk/soul side Sam has worked with YaMama’Nym, 76 Degrees West, Fred Yonnet, J-Hayden, and Brandon Combs while on the jazz side he has shared the stage with Pharoh Saunders, Greg Osby, Heidi Martin, and Antonio Parker. He is a graduate of UMBC, UDC, and Howard University.
